John Baglio is a whirling dervish of a comedian. If only he knew what that means…

 

Beginning his career at the ripe age of 19, John quickly climbed through the ranks of Boston's gritty comedy scene and has become a mainstay all over the Northeast. With his playful demeanor and affability, Baglio has the uncanny ability to win over any audience as he effortlessly weaves his dumb opinions through personal yet relatable material.

John has been able to open for some of the finest comedians in the country, names like Hannibal Buress, Kyle KinaneChad Daniels, Finesse Mitchell, Heather MacDonaldRyan Hamilton, Kurt Braunholer, Josh Wolf, and many more. He has also been featured in several comedy festivals across the country, including the Boston Comedy FestivalWorld Series of Comedy, Rogue Island Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy FestivalAsheville Comedy Festival, Cleveland Comedy Festival, Good Luck Fest, and Granite State Comedy Festival. Recently, John was the winner of the 2017 and 2018 Wootenany Comedy Festival and was the runner-up in LaughBoston’s inaugural Funniest Person in Massachusetts contest.

Currently, John serves as a co-producer of The Mendoza Line, a weekly independent comedy showcase he initially co-founded back in 2015. Every Saturday night at The Dugout Cafe, this show features a different lineup every week with some of the best comedians from Boston and across the country. Boston A-List recently named the show Boston A-List’s "BEST NIGHT OF COMEDY". He is also a founder/co-producer of the annual Boston Comedy Marathon, which coincides with the actual Boston Marathon each year. 

Keep your eyes peeled for this cherubic comedian in the future. In addition to recording his debut album at some point in 2020, John will also will be starring in a couple of web series to be released later this year. He is an above average karaoke singer.
